CPA firm in Northwest Houston, TX is currently hiring an experienced Staff Auditor to join their team! In this role, the Staff Auditor will be responsible for completing financial and compliance audits for local government entities; assisting in auditing cash, receivables, inventory, fixed assets, payroll, and expense analyses; preparing accurate reports and financial statements per GAAP and GASB standards.

Salary: $65K/yr. - $70K/yr.

The perfect Staff Auditor for our client will have:

·        Bachelor’s degree in accounting – required

·        CPA license or CPA eligibility – preferred

·        Strong understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principals

·        Proficiency in MS Word and Excel – required

·        Experience in governmental or public accounting a plus

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills a must
