Job Title:  Logistics Manager

Location:  Southwest Houston area.

Pay: Up to $85K with a 10% annual bonus, 3 weeks PTO along with sick time, 50% match on 6% for 401k, AMAZING benefits package!

Description of Duties:   Logistics Manager position is now available in the Southwest Houston area!  Supervises a team of 4 in the logistics department:  Daily oversight and training of team, developing and documenting procedures that best support company’s goals and objectives. Stockroom inventory accuracy and backorder prevention.  Release materials to production and service in a lean warehouse environment. Ensure accuracy of all inventory transactions. Lead coordination of annual physical inventory. Develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce cost. Develops and trends Key Logistics Performance Indicators regularly and on-time to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements. Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of all shipments. Coordinates all team activities and drives execution. Identifies training needs; ensures on-time completion of trainings. Leads the implementation and continuous improvement of safety processes, ensuring policy compliance and documentation of non-conformances. Ensures all tools and equipment used in Receiving / Shipping / Material Storage areas meet safety standards and are maintained accordingly. Responsible for performance management, talent management and succession planning, ensuring that the appropriate tools and processes are in place to support the team. Participates as a member of continuous improvement teams, seeking ways to improve the quality of the assembly and distribution functions.

Requirements:  5+ years in logistics/distribution role. Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field.  Knowledge of Quality Systems. SAP system experience. Strong proficiency with MS Office. ASCM based CLTD certification a plus. Ability to prioritize and control workflow. Excellent problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service orientation. Strong attention to detail and adherence to SOPs. Strong management and leadership skills.
