We’re hiring a Logistics Coordinator for our Southwest Central Houston area client!

DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB:

  • Job Title:  Logistics Coordinator
  • Location:  Southwest Central Houston area
  • Pay: $13-17/hour
  • Hours:  M-F
  • Duration:  Temp-to-Hire
  • Description of Duties:   Southwest Central Houston area company seeks a Logistics Coordinator for an immediate need.  The Logistics Coordinator job duties consist of the following:  Register and maintain shipment data (e.g., space availability, charges, damages, and weight).  Maintain cordial relationships with vendors, retailers, and customers.  Resolve problems associated with transportation, import/export, customer problems, and logistics systems.  Negotiate charges with suppliers.  Prepare and maintain supplies for shipping.  Monitor packaging and labeling of products.  Coordinate order shipments to be on time and accurate. Identify best shipping options and routes for products to be shipped.  Prepare and present reports to the logistics department and higher management.  Ensure the orders are in compliance with regulations, policies and laws.
  • Requirements:  Proven 1+ year of experience working as a Logistics Coordinator, Logistics Administrator or a similar role.  Basic understanding of accounting principles. Proficiency in MS Office.  Ability to understand customer requirements precisely.  Good verbal and written communication skills.  Ability to work for long hours.  Good customer service skills.  Good time management skills.
