Description of Duties: The Lead Electrical Engineer is the primary technical point of contact for the electrical scope of projects. Will lead a team of Engineers and Designers, to successfully execute the electrical portion of the project by ensuring quality deliverables, maintaining budget, schedule, and identifying scope changes as they arise. The Lead Electrical Engineer will have a role in multiple projects to ensure consistency in the execution strategy and quality across the entire portfolio of clients. Must be able to perform the following job duties: Load calculations of the project identifying all electrical loads, power distribution design for low voltage and medium voltage systems including switchgear, switchboard, MCC, panel board, UPS, transformer, cable sizing, conduit fill and cable tray sizing. Preparation of design criteria, specifications, datasheets, one-line diagrams, wiring schematics, etc. Perform load flow, fault current calculation, arc flash analysis, device coordination, substation grounding studies using ETAP and SKM. Provide drawings, reports, documentation, and calculations associated with the design of Photovoltaic Power Plant. Coordinate with other design disciplines, including internal and external stakeholders, as needed to complete project deliverables. Support the development and management of project scopes, budgets and schedules. Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, codes. Prepare RFQ packages for electrical Items such as 480V MCC, 5kV Switchgear, MV VFDs, transformers; review of vendor quotes, develop technical bid evaluations with clarifications. Review design deliverables: cable schedule, installation details, site plans, conduit plans, cable tray plans/BOM, grounding plans, etc. Assist project proposals with identifying electrical scope, cost, man hours and schedule. Identify scope changes or additions and communicate with the project team to develop the associated change management documents. Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems. Identify critical path and/or progress inhibiting items, recommend corrective action, and coordinate with the Project Manager to follow through with implementation plan. Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Attend project reviews and meetings (design review, weekly meetings, etc.) Provide technical input and interface for engineering and design deliverables. Provide construction and commissioning support.

Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering minimum required.15 year’s minimum relevant experience in utility, oil and gas, or petrochemical industry. Experience in Power System modeling software like SKM and ETAP. Knowledge of Protections relays: SEL, GE Multilin. Knowledge of relevant Electrical Codes and Standards including but not limited to NEC, NESC, NFPA, API, NEMA, IEEE/ANSI etc. PE License and NCEES record is preferred.
