  • Hours: 8am – 5pm

  • Description of Duties:  Company in the Southwest part of Houston is looking for an Industrial Sales Engineer. In this role you will maintain an expert level of product knowledge and Articulate product positioning to both sales teams and external customers. Produce quotations for customers in a clear, detailed, and accurate manner. Provide and assist colleagues on technical and engineering issues. Build relationships with customers and potential customers to understand their requirements. Plan job timescales. Assess the levels of risk on a project. Help with bids for new contracts and support buying activities. Interpret customer performance requirements, gather proposals, specifications, and related documents, and liaise with stakeholders in order to convert specifications to cost estimates for new and current products. Maintain accurate records of target accounts, opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts, and correspondence in company databases. Monitor the stages of a project to make sure that costs are kept in line with forecasts. Investigate and identify cost reduction opportunities through cost analysis review. Achieve relevant targets and KPI's. Pursue new business opportunities in line with strategic objectives in conjunction with the External Sales Team at existing and prospective customers.
  • Requirements:   Ability to size and specify equipment such as industrial fans, pressure blowers, air accessories, heaters and industrial air conditioners. Must know how to calculate air flow, heat loads and pressures within a system design. Knowledge of design for hazardous environments and classified areas. Knowledge of sound attenuation products and understanding the related regulations. Must have experience with engineering, design, estimating and coordinating projects with customers. Ability to manage workloads and meet project deadlines. Strong computer skills. Able to work with Autodesk products and other engineering software. Undergraduate degree with a concentration in finance, marketing, business, or engineering is preferred. Must have 5+ years of proven sales experience. Previous HVAC and/or technical building systems sales is a plus.
