We’re hiring an Export Trade Compliance Administrator for our Southwest Houston area client!

  • Job Title: Export Trade Compliance Administrator
  • Location: Southwest Houston
  • Pay: $80K - $95K/year
  • Hours:  8-5
  • Duration: Direct Hire
  • Description of Duties: Carlton Staffing is currently searching for an Export Trace Compliance Administrator for one of our top clients.  To be successful in this role, you should have familiarity with the following job duties:  Implement and maintain Export Compliance Manual and Operational Procedures Manual and update them according to the regulatory changes brought about by the US and Canadian governments and other procedural changes that apply to export compliance.  Manage and implement effective export compliance programs under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).  Draft timely export licenses, technical assistance agreements, technology control plans, and other forms of export licensing and documentation/contracts requests for submission to regulatory agencies.  Analyze products to determine export jurisdiction and commodity classifications Desired Qualifications in ITAR and EAR compliance.  Review and develop company export/import compliance policies, procedures, and programs for company’s associated entities and ventures in the United States and Canada.  Ensure importing, exporting, and supply chain security activities comply with USG laws, implementing regulations, and guidelines.  Participate in planning, organizing, and supporting company export compliance training, which includes online training as well as on-site training.  Perform on-site monitoring of personnel performing export services to ensure activities remain within scope of Export Procedures Manual and relevant export authorization requirements. Produce high quality written assessments based on monitoring activities. 
  • Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Minimum 5 years’ experience with laws and regulations working with legal counsel.  Knowledgeable of export control regulations and licensing policies focusing on ITAR and EAR.  Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office.  Strong understanding of government export licensing review process.
