CPA firm in Northwest Houston, TX is currently hiring an experienced Accounting Specialist to join their team! In this role, the Accounting Specialist will be responsible for working with sr. auditors, attorneys, engineers, developers, and client to ensure that agreed-upon procedures are executed accurately and in alignment with standards and regulations; preparing reports; conducting quality reviews of completed procedures; identify discrepancies or issues and work with senior staff to resolve them; manage timelines and prioritize tasks to ensure deadlines are met.

Salary: $65K/yr. - $75K/yr.

The perfect Staff Auditor for our client will have:

·        Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field – required

·        Experience in audit, accounting, finance, banking or internal controls highly preferred

·        Experience performing Agreed-Upon Procedures a plus

·        Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data

·        Proficiency in MS Word and Excel – required

·        Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and auditing standards (GAAP, IFRS, PCAOB) a plus

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills a must
