HVAC Service Manager
One of our clients in Southeast Houston is looking for a Service Manager with HVAC experience for a direct hire opportunity.
Supervises activities of workers engaged in Service, Maintenance, Repair and Retrofit of HVAC/R, Plumbing and IAQ Systems in commercial and industrial buildings by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees all operations necessary to support service sales.
Establishes and monitors department budget.
Oversees all service dispatch procedures and processes.
Keeps Human Resources Department appraised of human resource needs.
Meets with Financial Committee the end of each month to discuss prior period's activity.
Monitors customer satisfaction surveys.
Monitors technicians productivity reports and reviews it with Service Technicians for constructive feedback.
Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
Have monthly Service Tech meetings.
Interprets specifications, blueprints, code compliance issues and job orders to Service Personnel.
Established or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
Oversees Service Billing procedures.
Oversees all service fleet issues.
Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and value (quality) of service.
Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of all departments and work crew.
Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists personnel in solving work problems.
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Oversee time and production sheets.
Confers with other Managers to coordinate activities of individual departments.
Attend continuing education classes and seminars in area of management and leadership.
Share job information and status in weekly Service Supervisor Meeting.
Completes a minimum of (1) performance evaluation and (1) pay review per year on each Service Department Employee.
Other duties may be assigned by the company management team.
Directly manages the service field supervisors, service coordinators, service administrative assistant and indirectly manages all service technicians. He (she) is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of all service personnel. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and five to seven years related experience and/or training as a Service Manager.
