Unlike computer software training that an employee might receive at another agency or training program, Carlton’s software training is instructor led in a small group setting.  This allows our students to have one-on-one interaction with our software specialist, ask questions and interact with other students through real-life exercises that they can apply the next day at work.

Training sessions include a thorough introduction to the software, and guided exercises using the software at a personal workstation.  Throughout the training our instructor demonstrates the exercises on a wide screen projection and answers questions so the class can easily follow along. By using this method of instruction, Carlton employees will learn by doing, rather than just receiving a lecture.

The final component of the class is skill testing.  At this point employees are able to retest on the software and evaluate their new proficiency.
