One of our leading North West Houston area clients is searching for an experience, hard-working, and eager Quality Supervisor to join their team for the long haul!
What it takes to be the IDEAL Quality Supervisor:Bachelor’s Degree from accredited four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferredIntermediate mathematical skills, including the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general publicPrior database and inventory/WMS software use required; Microsoft Access or Accellos a plus!Superior interpersonal skills; including oral and written communication, customer service, leadership, and teamworkCapable of planning and organizing priorities using sound judgment, professionalism, and malleability to meet evolving deadlines and deliverablesSelf-starter; proactive and motivated with a keen eye for detail, focus on producing quality results, and ability to change approach or method to best fit the situationProvides vision and inspiration to peers and subordinates; leading with respect, trust and influence.
What a Day in the Life of a Quality Supervisor might look like:Review and approve First Article (FA) receiptsEnsure that Quality Inspectors and Material Coordinators follow established department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)Perform inspection database content review for use in improving product quality and reimbursement tracking for non-conforming inventoryAttend weekly meetings with Distribution and Purchasing departments to prepare for upcoming containers; disseminate information to the Quality team for workload planningProvide Senior Engineering + Quality Manager with regular and ad-hoc status updates related to the database, employees, and department activitiesEnsure thorough training is provided to new employees and existing employees receive regular coaching to optimize workforce and efficiencyReview and approve timecards weekly for payroll processing
