One of our clients, who is also considered one of the worldwide leaders of manufacturing within their industry, is currently seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join their team for the long haul!

What a Day in the Life of a CNC Programmer Might Include:

  • Create, maintain and control machine shop production schedule based upon sales priorities and existing plant resources.
  • Evaluate work center workload to maximize resources and equipment utilization and balance production process out
  • Work with material department to schedule and control stock orders to prevent inventory depletion
  • Supply CNC programs to manufacture components according to Engineering drawings and/or customer specification
  • Trouble shoots CNC programs problem on the floor assisting operators to correct them.
  • Assist shop supervisor and operators on set ups when required
  • Interpret drawings to write programs for CNC machines that include proper methodology, tooling, cutting speeds and feeds in order to generate quality parts in accordance with production standards.
  • Monitor and verify the accuracy of each job’s initial set-up and final outcome.
  • Revise programs and documentation based engineering changes.
  • Maintain library of programs.
  • What it Takes to be the IDEAL CNC Programmer:

    • High school graduate or GED or Technical degree required
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and e-mail required
    • Knowledge of MRP Systems
    • Planning or Scheduling Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
    • Experience as a CNC machinist preferred
    • Familiar with G Codes, EdgeCam or GibbsCam preferred
